Plain-English privacy

How we handle your data.

We're a small team building this for small businesses. We treat your numbers the way we'd want ours treated. Here's what that means, in one screen.

We mask personal info before anything leaves your device

When you drop in a spreadsheet, your browser strips out names, account numbers, emails, and phone numbers before any analysis runs. We see categories and totals — not your customers.

When we connect to QuickBooks (later), it's read-only

We never write to your books. Ever. We only read what's needed for the briefing — invoices, expenses, balances — and nothing else.

Your files are encrypted at rest and in transit

Standard bank-grade encryption. The weekly briefing and your uploads live in your account only — not in shared training data, not in marketing exports.

Your data stays yours

Export anything anytime as CSV or PDF. Your bookkeeper can have a copy. We don't sell, share, or rent your numbers to anyone — and there's no fine print that says otherwise.

Delete it all in one click

Settings → Delete account wipes your uploads, briefings, and account within 24 hours. We keep nothing but a flag that the account existed (so we don't bill a deleted user).

Real questions get real answers

Email hello@bottomlines.info and a person — not a bot — replies within one business day. If we ever change how data is handled, we'll email you before it takes effect.

This is the plain-English summary. The full legal version is in our Terms — but if you ever find a gap between the two, the plain-English one is what we'll honor. Back home →
